Detroit Painters Exhibit

, , ,

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the viewing of our “Detroit Painters” exhibition held in The Gallery At Marygrove College.  The show, curated by Taurus Burns, featured the esteemed work of Detroit artists and residents Taurus Burns, Darcel Deneau, Nicole Macdonald, Laura Macintyre, and Tylonn Sawyer.  The initial conceptualization for Taurus Burns’s vision of “Detroit Painters” manifested in 2008 when Burns’s determined to display a show that would highlight the more cerebral day to day thoughts, emotions, and images that we as Detroiters experience and live in our complicated, immacuately beautiful, unique, and emotionally charged city that is our Detroit.   The show is open until October 11, 2013.
